My theme importance of relationships, I picked this theme because of Tyler Miller my main character and all the relationships he has in his life. The main important relationship shown in the story is Tyler with his dad and a girl from his high school Bethany Milbary. Tyler and his father do not get along and Tyler never can do anything to his dad’s expectation. A positive relationship Tyler has is with his crush from school Bethany Milbary. The relationship shown between Tyler and Bethany is strong and comfortable. Tyler feels loved and reassurance from Bethany and it is good for Tyler because Tyler does not feel that from his dad. That is why the importance of relationships is so important because if Tyler only had negative relationships he would never have a positive idea of a relationship that’s why his relationship with Bethany is so important.
