The reason that Flight could be a controversial book is because of the many acts of violence and the language used by Zits and the character he transforms into. I don’t think parents would be okay with a lot of their own kids reading this book until they understand that acts of violence that occur in the books are not okay to do. Another issue I would think some parents would have a problem with is the cussing and inappropriate comments throughout the book. That is why Zits and many characters in this book could cause a lot of controversy.

There are a few books that I’ve read that could be controversial because of violence, language, and other actions just like Flight. The first example of a book that could be controversial is The Hunger Games books I think because of the violence in that book many people would agree that it had some controversy with that series. Another book is Twisted, the part that would be controversial with that book is the language and some of the inappropriate comments in that book.
